Change Fuel Filter

Default Change Fuel Filter

Hey guys I am buying a 2002 Audi A4 1.8T this next week but I have to change the fuel filter on site and I was wondering if anybody could tell me the tools I would need to get this done. Thanks a lot!!

Why do you need to change the fuel filter? The thing is the size of a can of beer and it rarely gets clogged or is the source of low fuel pressure.

Not true on the B6's. Tons of posts on other forumsof fuel pump failures directly related to clogged filters. Very common.
And be careful on the printed directions. Different year B6's have different hose connectors. Some are a real PITA to get off, while others are a piece of cake.

piece of cake after you learn how to take off the clips. push the clip towards the filter, then press the plastic ring down with fingernail and pull off. i did one line at a time and had the car off the jack in 15 minutes.

Different years of B6 have different connectors, so be careful of this. Some don't come off that way.
