Default Changed Oil Sensor and light is still on... HELP!

I have a solid yellow oil level sensor on my dash. I changed the sensor and cleaned the connections and I still have the yellow oil sensor display. Shouldnt this have reset itself if the problem was fixed...? So if its still on what could possibly be the problem?

u need to chain or top off your oil? if its yellow that is. If its red then u might have a bigger problem.

okay it says oil sensor and not min oil right. I would examine the wires to make sure they arent chewed up or something.

If the wiring and oil level are both ok, did you clear the fault using VAG/VCDS?
If you did not try that first before any titreing.

Use VCDS and clear the DTC.

the pump might be shot too. i have an 03 1.8t and the oil on the HUD kept coming on after an oil change and i reset the service and everything, eventually it went away after like a week, though i did try to secure the sensor a little better so it might have just been dirty/loose.

make sure the o-ring on the sensor is seated properly too
