Default ECT Sensor

Hello,

I have a 2004 A4 with 1.8T and FWD CVT. It is throwing a code for the ECT but I cannot find that badboy for the the life of me. I have read other posts that state it is between the engine and the firewall, but I still cannot seem to locate it. Can any one provide some more specific guidance (such as follow hose x from the ...)? Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Matt

It's under the EGR valve. If I can get to my bentley manual I can get a drawing for ya.

The picture must be from a B5. I can't see squat on my B6 from any direction -- only the top of the plug. From what a local Audi tech tells me, you just have to feel around for the clip, slide it out, and pull the sensor out to disconnect and replace.

However, I have not been able to actually do that yet becase the space is so small and my hand is not.

Ciao.

Matt
