Hi guys I think I'm going to be modding my car soon, I was wondering if anyone knew any really solid companys for the engine mod. Keep in mind the car will be driven everyday about 30-50 miles and the chip CANNOT be cheap, I want an actual legit company that has a good warranty and is in the price range from about $500- 1200.

 

only chip for a 3.0 is GIAC, nets you about 5hp, changes the powerband a little and removes the speed limiter, $500

I just got done completely working my 2003 3.0 a4 quattro. is that 5hp worth it...would it be noticeable?

 

i hear it changes how the car pulls, but not a big difference for $500, a few members on www.audizine.com have the GIAC 3.0 chip, maybe they could help you, but with a NA car there isnt much you can do without dropping some $$$

 

hmm..then I guess the chip alone is not worth it then..I just want something that will give me a bit more pep

 

it sucks but there isnt much you can do to the NA 3.0 engine that will give you a big difference, just get the supercharger and be done with it
