Default Fault codes 17114 and 18183 - Urgent HELP needed!!

Hi there everyone.

About two weeks ago, I bought second hand Audi A4 2.0 Multitronic 2001 B6 (Engine type 8E, 85000 kms, CVT Transmission, Petrol). Took it to local mechanic for scan and he returned these codes to me.

17114 - Incorrect Gear Ratio (P0730)
18183 - Hydraulic Pressure Sensor 2 adaptation at limit (P1775)

I haven't had any luck in finding a post with such a combination of fault codes. So far the car drives fine, have driven it for around 100 kms. Haven't died on me so far.

This is my first Audi and am dealing with an electrical engine for the first time. So this is making me a bit nervous. I have read about 17114 code and they seem to come up usually with very bad sypmtons like loud noises or car dying in between the roads.
My questions are:

1) Are these codes linked to each other? What I mean to ask is, if I solve one issue, would the other get solved too?

2) Do you guys think that transmission fluid change will resolve the issue? Or would I need to rebuild the whole Transmission?

3) How do I go about resolving code 18183?

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Cheers.
Nik

The first thing I would do is change your transmission fluid, have it serviced. The 18183, which is the P1775 could just be because someone turned the car off with the transmission still in gear.
I've heard of the P0730 being caused by low trans fluid, but have read on other forums that most people have bad experiences with this code, but their Audi's are usually in LIMP mode by then. If yours is running good, hope for the best and change the transmission fluid and filter, clear the codes-it may solve both codes. The TCM (transmission control module) is under the passenger side carpet I believe....if it ever got water on it (which seems to happen here or there), you could open it up and see if any of your pins are corroded...that may also throw codes and wreak havoc....if there is corrosion, I think there are some DIY on how to clean it properly...as said, if it's running FINE, chances are, it could be something simple...
