ok so here is my wierd issue, i have a 2002 audi A4 1.8T i recently change my fog lights now it seems if i drive with the fog lights on my lisence plate lights go out," i get the warning light on the dash" if i drive without them they are fine??? is thier a relay or some kind of common electrical thing that might make this happen? and its not the bulbs i check both it has to be somekind of connection between the 2, has anyone ever heard of this?

stock what lights? no aftermarket yellow fogs and bright white plate lights, my best guess is maby a over heated somthing like relay or somthing similar. i still havent check the fuses b/c its been F'in cold out

 

Your plate lights are led i assume. Probably not sensing enough loud from the rear lights. First i would suggest to take ur plate bulbs out and flip them and see if it continues to go out. If they still go out replace with your stock bulbs and see again if the problem continues. IF it dosent u bought the bulbs with no resistor and will need to wire it up or buy the led bulbs from superbright leds. I have these for my plate lights and have not had a problem for over a year.
