Do some searching around, IIRC there is an extended warranty that covers your motor being trashed if your timing belt breaks and thrashes that motor...doesn't cover replacing the timing belt early or anyhting convenient like that, but it does cover a full motor rebuild or replacement if the belt lets go before the recommended change interval.

 

I think I need that timing belt done on my 3.0, I got the car with 80K miles and didn't know the timing belt job was this much, well don't care is an audi and is so far the best car I've ever had that's used... I did have a Chevy Pick up that I bought new and most of the problems got covered by the warranty, others didn't.
