Default Gear fear!

Hi all. It's my first thread and I'm so happy to join the forums
I bought my car new 4 years ago. I made a terrible accident 6 months later and restored it back as nearly as it was.
Just about 9 months ago I started first to notice the control panel's is flashing. Later, I started to notice weakness in over all performance and since then I started to have the REAL problem>> sometimes without warning the car torque is completely lost while I'm driving! RPM is going high when I step onto the gas but it just wont move! I have to completely park the car for a while then it will move again!! I don't park the car now in any area with slopes cause I know I wont be able to drive it out of the slope again!!!
The oils, engine everything is in good condition.. any idea what that could be due to and how it could cost to fix??
Thanks a lo
t.

If manual, your clutch is dead.
