Hi - new user tire & headlight question
Hi all. I'm a new 2004 1.8T Q tiptronic owner with the sport package.Ming blue (I think thats what it's called), grey leather, cold weather package...love the car. Best bang for the buck in the pre-owned German car market IMO.

Anyway, I'm running General Exclaim UHP summer tires (they were on the car when I bought it). I'm just about through the winter in the Philadelphia area and want a decent all-season tire to replace the Generals when the summer is over...which BTW are not bad at all for the price.
Any suggestions would help.
Also, I do NOT have the lighting package and wanted to replace the weak H7 bulbs that are in there now. I've searched a couple times, but never really found any useful threads that answered my question. I like (who doesnt??) the look oh HID, but DO NOT want blue or purple tint lights.Nice, white, bright lights. Again...any suggestions??
How about a HID conversion? Is that alot of work? I really dont want to mod the car too much. I dont want warning lights being tripped or things like that.
Thanks
E

Did you say mini blue? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwsNLWLJELw Nice car btw.
So for the lights you want 4300k temp. Thats a true white light when it warms up. Thats what come stock on Audi HID's (I think). Atleast thats what came on my car. I've seen some write ups and it does't look too difficult (says the guy who hasn't done it). Alsoyou want to watch out, you will get what you pay for! Don't go real cheap.
you can start here for tires: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...;x=88&y=19
they have decent reviews on most tires

that car looks moro blue... i think ming blue was available only for 2002 and 2003, then moro took over. as for the headlights you can get an hid conversion kit at www.vvme.com Just make sure you get 4300k and you they will be nice and white. for a good all season tire, kumho ecsta's are a good bang for your buck. you can search for different brands at www.tirerack.com and they have tons of reviews and recommendations.
I also live in the Philadelphia are and this is my setup...http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....nSpeedRating=H
