I just purchased an 04 audi 7 days ago. I was driving to the range when i tried putting my window down, I heard a grinding sound, like a rock was stuck between the window and the door, then the window went dead, 95% stuck in the down postion. The electrical system is still working, the window moves down after I pull it up manually (it will only move up about 1'), but its jammed nearly all the way down. After reading a few threads, I think the window regulator busted. A very common problem. If anyone has experience fixing this, I think a lot of people, including myself, would really appreciate a step by step on how to fix this, thanks.
