Vag-ing to Canada on my car just made it in to "all-the-time" running lights. I don't want that. I want to control when the fogs are on or off independent of headlights and be able to turn fogs off if parking lights are on.
That's why vag-ing to "rest of world" and doing the 2 minute job of wire splice (both need done on >'02 models) worked perfect for me.
