i kinda hate my car!!!
dang man... thats kinda depressing. but i do agree that the clutches on these cars are pretty whack, but still it doesnt affect the smoothness of the ride. i actually think its incredibly easy to drive these smoothly simply because the clutch hardly has any tough grip at all.
I'd understand it if you had this car and hated it, but your car is nice.

I had the same problem the first week I had the car,and when my friends drive i'm freakin yellin at em 2 each time my head gets jerked foward and slammed back. Coming from a MR2 I could drive like butter into my A4 I was frustrated. No matter how much I tried I was bangin the gears, each shift was feeling harsh and I couldn't make it smooth. Then I realized after watching my tach closely between shifts, this car has a fly wheel made of depleted Uranuim compared to my BImmer and MR2. Where as in the bimmer and Mr2 I would change gears with the shifter as I was pushin the clutch in and immediatly release it as I grabbed the next gear,in the Audi the same shifting method would result in harsh shifts. I learned to push the clutch in fully, shift the gear smoothly, slowly and deliberately(for 1st-2nd wait a second)and then let the clutch out. A week later I was shiftin smoother then any auto. That big heavy flywheel makes up for whatever lil bit ur off by and the shift is smooth as butter. Hell, people who get in my car, don't realize it's stick until they notice me shifting. Unless my foot is 2 the absolute floor and i'm bangin quarter second shifts I drive smoother and shift less noticably then the exact same car in auto. These cars are very smooth, and should be able to be run through gears 1-5 without the passengers ever knowing it's stick. The trick is 2 slow down your shifts, shift smoothly and deliberately, and in no time you'll be drivin smoother then a bitch box ever could.
