i kinda hate my car!!!
Manual is better in every way. Its alot faster and it saves gas.. I hate driving automatics, I always go for the shifter cuz I feel like im driving a gokart and its just boring. Ive been driving manual cars ever since I got my lisence and I will never drive an auto.
I don't get all the hating just because someone prefers a Tip over a stick. My 3.0 A4 was a 6spd I enjoyed it, but it was a commuter car. I replaced it with a Tip when I got my Avant. My S4 is a Tip and I love it. You just stomp on it and it nails you back in your seat. My TT is a stick and that's a blast too. It all comes down to what you want to drive. Anyone else's opinion is really irrelevant because they aren't making your car payment nor do they have to live with the car.

the auto is a dog??? can you not get a CVT on a 3.0?? because I'll tell you, on my 1.8 the CVT absolutely accelerates better than a 5 or 6speed. lets think about this....you could drive the manual, and shift. or you could have the auto CVT that revs to the power ban, and stays there all the way through your accleration until you take your foot off the gas....
I mean, I like the manual as much as the next guy, and if I wasn't driving around downtown Boston all the time I would have one, but lets not pretend an automatic can't keep up.

Personally, I'd say that driving the stick is more fun, but I went with a tip cuz of commuting to downtown Seattle every day, plus the hills, I mean i'm working on 1st Ave, and the freeway entrance is up on 6th...rush hour stop and go for 5 blocks at a 50* angle hill is NOT fun, but at times I do miss it. Once nice thing about my tip is i have the CVT, so there's no shift jolt at all, which makes gunning it sooo much nicer and smoother.
well if you have read through this thread and have noticed my issues then maybe you will be able to give me answer... as i have found these cars have a heavy flywheel in them... i would imagine heavier than the one in my stang gt and my old probe gt, possibly than the one in my 89 f150, seeings how idont have a problem driving them, im wondering if i put a light weight flywheel in my car if that would possibly help me out? what sort of change in driving would i notice? thanks for any help guys!!!
