Mods for the A4 3.0 V6
Hey,
The chip "tune" took about 10 minutes once I arrived - call and setup an appointment so there's someone ready. we should hook up if you're local - you can drive my car with the sprint booster in it, and see what you think (my car is a 6-speed). I think their website is 034motorsport.com
Anyway, has anyone done the Hyper-flow Intake on a 3.0? Just curious if it helped the SOTP / extra couple of HP...

Honestly, the posts about exhaust, intake, and superchargers being the only mods to improve your performance are almost, if not, completely accurate. I own an 02 3.0 a4 and don't get me wrong i love the car, but at the same time i wasn't looking to mod it up so that it could compete with "tricked out" 1.8t's or the mass amount of imports that have thousands of dollars put into them. The 3.0 is a great every day driver and is very reliable. When you push 100k on miles you might start to have problems, but with any car you will run into this. Make sure you replace your timing belt, clutch, flywheel, etc. when they need to be replaced or you will end up with very costly purchases you could have avoided. Now as far as mod's, I have milltek exhast, now it is a v8 exhaust that was customized for my car, but i love it. I also have cold air intake and am very pleased with this; as far as brands i don't really have a preference so you can choose that for yourself. If you'd like to drop $3500 on a supercharger, be my guest but make sure you get a radar detector as well. PES makes a wonderful supercharger that will provide you with a lot of power. Overall, enjoy your car and be thankful you have it.
the 3.0 is not that slow but does need help to sound meaty! if you wanted a racer you could have got a corvette or some other v8 for the same money.
lower it, put some big rims on it, tint the windows and show the m/f off!!

from what Quad says, sprint booster & chip are musts, I will get them in about a month myself but he has them already and loves them, they are added onto my short list of mods for my baby.
with the USP (which both Quad and I have) there really is no need to lower it, it seems to already be lowered a tad, put some 19's on and she will look lowered yet still have a lot of clearance.
and thank god tint comes factory 95% of the time in FL cars so that was done for me.

Do you by chance have a picture of the rear of the car with the new exhaust tip? Also where did you get it done?
Thanks!
