Need help deciding: Extended warranty or trade-in
Hello,
I am a novice at best when it comes to car repairs etc.
I own Audi A4 2004 1.8T, with 56K miles on it. I have paid of this car
I bought this car in 2007 and it has CPO warranty till July 2010.
This car drives great and is in excellent condition when it comes to paint, interior etc. I only drive on an average 7-8K miles /year.
The KBB value for trade in, is around $9K+.
Having said all that, I need help deciding from following 3 options:
1) Buy extended warranty 4 years/48K from Audi dealer for $3100+tax (total being $3450 appx), which is identical to the CPO warranty. this has zero deductibles unlike CPO which had $50 deductibles.
or
2) Trade-in this vehicle for $9K+ and buy a 2007/8 Audi A4 (I love A4s) and finance around 12-15K.
or
3) Not worry about buying extended warranty (again I do not anything about repairs and rely on Audi dealers to tell me what's wrong) and continue to drive this vehicle and rather do a CD of 3500
All feedback/guidance are appreciated and thanks for your time reading through this.
Thanks again!

I am buying a new 2011 A4 this week. After reading posts, my inclination is to not buy an extended warranty immediately and consider buying one when the original warranty runs out.
