Hey guys, I just went over to the gas station to try and refuel my 3.0l avant quattro 2003 a4. When i started filling everything was fine but after only 2$ was pumped, around .75 gal, it stopped as if it were "full". I had this problem yesterday as well when i was trying to refuel. So i kept trying to fill up the tank and it ended up spraying gas everywhere!

What is wrong with my car?! How can i fix this problem? Please help!!

 

i would guess your evap check valve is stuck closed. Go drive around abit then try again. Might help the issue.

 

I tried this and it worked...also, for the first gallon i put it in extremely slow. Do you know if there is a way to prevent this from happening? I don't really "top off" or anything like that.
