no power under load, help please
I have poured over threads with similar issues, but none are quite the same or as severe.
The car is SLOW. It takes almost a full minute on flat ground to get up to 60 mph. Uphill it wont go faster than 40mph. It idles fine, but once in gear it wont accelerate for crap. itll rev up to 4,000 rpm or more, but doesnt put any of that power to the wheels.
I had several vacuum leaks that I fixed. I thought that would fix it, but it didnt. It idles smoother now, but still beyond sluggish. The last time I checked, it was throwing underboost code and several misfire codes, but that was before the last vacuum leak was fixed. One of the hoses looks like it is collapsing when idling, but I dont hear any leaks, still think it would run a lot better if it was just a small leak.
I unplugged the MAF sensor to see if would run better and it did not.
coil packs could be the issue, but i dont have much money and dont want to keep throwing darts, and wasting money i dont have.
Have replaced the coolant temp sensor, thermostat not terribly long ago. Any help or advice is appreciated.
