Thumbs down Oil grade selection

Just got a 2005 Audi A4 3.0L and running pretty close to 130,000 service..
Any recommendations on what oil grade should I use on it?
And anyone knows how many quarts fills it up?
I'm thinking of getting Mobil 1 fully synthetic by the way...

My independent mechanic who specializes in Audi/VW & Porsche has always put Mobil 1 0w40 in my 1.8T whenever I've had an oil change done, so that's what I plan to continue using. (Would do the oil myself, but I just don't have a good place to work on the car due to my current housing situation plus it's just easier to let him dispose of the oil.)

My understanding is that the 3.0 V6 is *somewhat* less sensitive to oil quality than the 1.8T, but it still couldn't hurt to run a good synthetic.

IIRC the 3.0 takes around 7 quarts.

I run Mobil 1 full synthetic on 0W40, sitting at 91K Miles; I use about 6 3/4 quarts.
