Default P R N D Flashing - TCM?

Hi -

My P - D has been flashing randomly on my in-dash display. Would this have something to do with my transmission or faulty wiring? My engine has not acted abnormallyand I ran a diagnostic and no fault codes returned on the test. I reset all codes for good measureand have not seen the problem reappear... yet. I've read around and it seems like it could be the TCM,which is not something Iwant toreplace. I know I could more than likely do this myself but it is still a pricey repair.

I recently installed an OEM iPod adapter mand I wonder if some wiring may have been tangled; however, I question that any of the wiring around the radio would be connected/around the transmission wiring.

Maybe something with the tiptronic? Has anyone ever had any problems like this? I have a 2003 (B6) A4 1.8t CVT with less than 45,000k.Any help would be appreciated!

When it blinks do the actual letter blink? or are the letter kind of surrounded by a red border that flashes?? If its the border, your lil magnet thing in your shifter console is loose. Pull it apart and reattach it. Let me know...

He has a CVT...... which it likely the TCM. You need to pull the fault to be sure
