It can either be the TCM ($2000+), or the shift sensor($200+). If you try and replace the shift sensor going off of a whim that it's the problem and it doesn't get fixed, than you are $200 in the hole already.

My local independent guy i trust looked at mine and was able to give me an honest answer. If you go into the dealer, they might possibly lie to you for the sake of making more money on the more expensive job. Keep that in mind, and good luck
