Is there a way to use Vag-Com and setup up a service? What I mean exactly is... Let's say I changed oil and I would like to change service on my computer to remind me in 5k miles to replace oil again. Is that possible and if anyone know how to do it ?

 

there is a section of the VCDS program for setting/resetting the service reminder. so, yes, the vag-com will do that

not sure if it is available in the "lite" version though. i have the licensed copy so i'm not entirely sure what the lite version does and does not do.

 

Any chance you know where exactly... I want to change that. I have the access to license version of vag-com too

You're welcome. While you're at that Ross-Tech website, there's all kinds of cool things you can do with VCDS to change the behavior of your B6. I used it to turn my fogs lights into being able to turn on without the headlights, by changing the country convenience module from USA to KAN, which represents Canada.

So now, when I start my car up, the fog lights act as daytime running lights and come on automatically. Pretty cool stuff!

 

u cant reset the service reminder by hand also. before u turn the ignition hold the wrench button. Turn on the car then push and hold the 0,0 button. that will reset the service notification.

 

I don't want to reset the service reminded, i want to be able to change it so lets say i changed oil at 83,000 and I want to get a reminded at 86,000 that i need to change my oil. That's what I was asking if it's possible with vag-com.
