Default Question regarding Sport Package and tiptronic re-learning

I have a question regarding my 04 1.8TQ Sport package. Is the car lowered from the factory or is it the appearance of being lowered due to the 17" rims and lower profile tires?
Also, I read that you can "re-learn" your auto trans. I bought my A4 used, so maybe it's beneficial to relearn the shift points, etc. toMY driving style??
I did this before with other cars as well.

Thanks

The sport package has different suspension and is lower. Open the .pdf for your model, great information. http://www.audiworld.com/model/index.html

CVT or Tiptronic? CVT comes on FWD, Tiptronic comes with Quattro. I have the Tiptronic and disliked the DSP (dynamic shift program) so I shut it off. You need a Vag-com to recode the transmission. It's easy but there are several choices for recoding. There is a lot of discussion on audizine about this, you could search there but start with this link http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=195162

If you wantto force a relearn I would recode it and then code it back but there is probably an easier way.

...Sport suspension, including 30% stiffer shocks / springs, stronger stabilizer
bars in front / rear, suspension lowered by 20 mm
