I keep hearing a little rattling noise from the passenger side of the car. It doesn't sound like a metal-on-metalrattling noise, more of a"playing cards rattlingbike spokes" noise.

It only happens when the engine is cold, and roughly around 1100-1400rpms. Does anyone know what that could possibly be?

got the same thing and no one can help me, even the mechanics don't know what it is , and it's ucking loud, i don't get it ...

 

do you have an aftermarket exhaust? I run Borla pipes and every now and then I experience a little vibration from the passenger side at around 2000 rpm's

 

go under the car and hit the cats a few times see if that makes the noise it could be the hive in the cats or the heat shield. i had the same prob, it= broken cats for me it wasnt to bad because after the car heated up it stoped. do you have any cel. hope you find the prob.

 

I had the same thing in my old jetta, and it turned out that the welds on the exhaust were loose.

 

welds cant be loose..

 

Well maybe by loose they meant "came off" but I dont know thats what they told me

 

my car is curretly in the shop, they are fixing the probs i hope, i will know more tomorrow!

 

and it really rattles like hell, when the car is hot, it getts less alot, when i drive like 120mph and then stop and let it run it's jgone.

 

i have a similar rattling on my passanger side too. It only really happens at low speeds and more when its cold.
