The other day i noticed that the rev limiter on my a4 is slightly higher than the red line shown on the RPM guage. is there any reason for this? or is this normal? thanks

if you are stock (or even anything below k04) you have no need to ever get much past 5k or 5.5k, power is long gone by then.

if you have a BT kit, yeah you need to get those RPMs up then.

It's a soft limit then you hit the hard. I would say stay away from it. Just becuase it will do the extra 500rpm dosen't mean you should push it that far. As I have the 3.0 its a differnt story I don't loss power in tell I hit the soft limit then it drops like crazzy. The term isnt accurate but its the best way I can put it as a soft limit.
