Default Rough Vibrations from Idle

I have a 2002 Audi A4 1.8T FWD CVT with 101000 miles. I have noticed over the past 10,000 miles that the idle has been causing more and more vibrations. The car isn't idling rough, but it is vierating more from idle. Once it's above 1200 RPM or so, there are no problems.

Time for new motor mount? What could cause this?

Open your hood, look carefully if u seen ANY unusual color fluid around your mounts.
When your trans shifts, do u feel any vibrations?
Also, try to look at your snub mount- it might be cracked.

i've got a worn motor mount and feel the same vibration...when i put the car in neutral the vibration goes away. i've also got a pretty messed up looking check valve. i'm changing the vavle tomorrow and probably try and do the mounts within the next couple weeks. i'll let you know if either make a difference.

Good catch... snub mount cracked. Holy crap that doesn't look easy to replace... hmm... Time to find a DIY article.

Easier than you would think )) Even the DIY might look hard from the pics, but all u have to do is to put your car on jacks, unbolt the bolts, put the new snub in, start your car. let it idle for 30 seconds (you might rev it up just a bit) so the new snub gets in good "position" tighten all the bolts.

A bit harder cause you will need to lift your engine up a bit to get the old mounts out and put the new ones.
Here is DIY http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ine+mounts+diy
Read post #3 for the MUCH EASIER instructions.
