Hey guys/gals, my girlfriend has a 2003 A4 1.8T that is acting electrically possessed. Obviously these problems could be totally unrelated, but I am at least a little suspicious they are connected. These all seem to be somewhat common problems from what I have seen on here but I haven't seen anything linking them together.

-The ECON light intermittently comes on preventing the a/c from blowing cold. When the light isn't on, the a/c blows cold.

-The radio intermittently doesn't work. At all. Other times it works fine.

-Intermittently (seeing a pattern??) she has to start it 7 or 8 times before it starts and stays running. It will start, stumble and die. Once it gets running, it runs fine. This only happens every once in a while.

Is there any way these issues could be related? Maybe a bad ground somewhere or something? We all know how fun it is to chase electrical problems...

well for the first two id pull out the head unit and check for bad ground/ connections and while you at it put dilectric grease on all sockets. with the running issue im not going to be of much help. good luck
