Occasionally I get strange clicking and whirring noises from behind the dashboard. The car has a non standard sound system and I wondered if it was anything to do with that. The noises happen even when the ignition is switched off and can go on for over an hour. They sound like a cd changer although there isn't one installed.

 

that is your thermostat closing and also ive heard but never knew if it was true that its the car adapting to your driving habits. its normal though dont worry.
