Symphony Bose audio - Cuts out randomly???

Symphony Bose audio - Cuts out randomly???
02 A4 with the bose system....
it will randomly cut out... stopped / driving.. whatever
still has power but speakers will suddenly go silent, then come back on...
any ideas? could it just be the connection at the back?
