Default Thinking about KO4

There is a KO4 up for sale made by Borg Warner. I have a 2004 1.8 with CVT. will this work on my car? it is the Borg Warner K04-015 Turbocharger. How much hp/tq will it give me stock, and what about after apr chip upgrade?
Thanks for the help

Don't get the K04. APR 1+ should be your first upgrade

I disagree in theory. Having had 1 and then 1+, I found them to be slow a few weeks after the initial "wow" factor of being better than stock.
Your only real problem, OP, is that you have a CVT. Those things can't handle the power.
Otherwise, I'd say bypass the K04 completely and go BT.
Oh, and the chip (for a K04) has to be had with the K04. It isn't like you can run the K04 without the corresponding software. Well, you can... but only to drive it to the local tuner to get the correct K04 software. And stay out of boost.

If your stuck on getting the K04, I know somewhere on Audizine theres a guy who has a file that limits the power that way, you don't burn the cvt. Also there's a guy on AZ who has a B6 Avant K04'd along w/a CVT for 6 months. I'm waiting to see how it goes.

CVT + BT = Bad Idea.

I'd get the chip if I were you, I don't think those CVTs can hold much more power...
