i have just got an audi a4 2.0 petrol automatic 2001
i seem to have a bit of a problem with it, as when i start the car the is a loud wining noise coming from the transmission and then when i drive it it knocks and vibrates especially on low speeds and when stopping.
does anyone have a clue of wots goin on here, as i have not much knoledge about automatics!

A 2001 with a gasoline 2.0L? Are you jerking our chain or do you have original VW 2. slow from europe? There is no way of telling what the problem is, it could be a wheel bearing, your fluid in the trans is leaking, etc. I would do a good visual for leaking fluids around the transmission and differentials.
