My trunk will no longer open automatically when using the trunk release button that is located on the drivers side door. The keypad buttons work fine. Its worked fine all up until now. Any ideas? is there any safety switches i might have pushed by accident. PLease help i really use the drivers side release button alot.

 

I have the same problem w/my car. It will not release with the handle on the back, nor will it work with the key fob button. I bought the car used and it has not worked since I bought it.

 

You need a new actuator, if you can read you can take the carpet out of the boot lid and you will see the actuator on there, you need a new one.

OP, try opening with your remote and with your button on the door. If they don't work try the lid itself, if it works in that way you will also need an actuator.
