Angry Trying to replace remote key fob shell, how the hell do i remove the circuit board!?

I am trying to replace the shell of my old keyfob for a brand new one. I already did the immo part, but I cannot remove the green circuit board without damaging it... it is getting chipped on the edges for trying to pry it out with a screw driver, doesnt come out with anything ! any suggestions? thanks!

just noticed the circuit board has like a couple of golden screws? are they screws? they don't have a + or - head, those are completely flat... how do I remove them?

They are not screws. They are little brass push ins with barbs. I took a small side cutter pliers and pulled the one out of mine. I couldn't get the other one so I had to drill it out on a drill press very slowly. I did it. Then I placed it on the new case posts, took my soldering iron and melted the posts like a mushroom. I couldn't get the little glass vile out next to the key blank so I reused that end and switched over the key by removing the small roll pin in the key. That was fairly easy.

I found some instruction but I do not know how to attached a larger word document. PM me with your e-mail and I can send them to you.

I already swapped the shell, took me almost all day to remove the circuit board without damaging it. I had to destroy the old shell in order to get it out.

I originally wanted to convert to a B7 but unfortunately 2002 b6 are not compatible with b7 keys, that mod only works on 2003 +

10 years later I am in the same situation as the original poster.
It seems Audi didn't want people using aftermarket key fobs.

Can you please send me the manual / word document you mentioned (long shot I know, but maybe wou still have it). Thanks.

I disassembled a busted shell to remove it of a FOB to put in a nice new shell, I ended up replacing the brass barbs with little screws that will save me time next time I have to do the same thing. After pulling the circuit out and putting it in the new shell with a new battery, I can't get it to assign to the car, I've tried the ignition trick while holding the unlock button and pressing the button once (for my one and only FOB) and have tried it in the door doing the same thing, I cannot for the life of me get the car to sync with this FOB. Any way I can test the circuit board to see where the problem lies?
