Default Which turbo? I have money...

Let me put this differently than my last post. (02'a4 1.8t w/apr stage1+ w/supposed 228 HP on 93 octane). I finally have the money i need to purchase a bigger turbo with "other" components without totally breaking me. My goal is to be pushing 340HP+ and the garret turbos from http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=GRT
seem to be pretty mean. Basically I have $4000 to spend and want to know what I could do with this budget to get the power I want. Any suggestions on Audi/VW tuning companies that could help me select my components and install them.

I would suggest this http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=GRT
Then you need everything to support it. FMIC, Injectors, Fuel pump, software/tune. With this added hp you are gonna need a new clutch.

why did you create a new thread? again read my newbie guide. if you want 350 crank hp get a gt28rs. the full parts list you'll need is in the guide.

$8,000? ya, maybe if you're including suspension, brakes and wheels..

but if you're talking

turbo kit
clutch
software/injectors
FMIC w/piping
and exhaust(which sounds like he already has)

he should be able to do it for between $4000-5000, easy

I dont know it would be close. Depends if hes actually installing them himself or not.
Educated guesses below:

turbo kit: 2,000 bucks(depending on which kit), before labor
clutch/flywheel : 1,300 bucksbefore labor
software & injectors: 800 bucks
FMIC: 1,000 bucksbefore labor.

So roughly 5,100 will get him there BEFORE Labor cost.

I went with www.rennart.com. I got the gt2871r with software and a revo select+tuner for around $3400. My clutch went out a while ago so I went ahead and saved myself some trouble and upgraded when i replaced the fried clutch. The southbend clutch with labor was about $950. Exhaust w/short throw shifter was $875 w/free shipping! I also saved some money by buying apr's turbo inlet pipe for $159, whereas neuspeed wanted $299[:@] I did an ebay custom FMIC and saved a bunch. The core with piping cost me a little under $200, but gave me a nice headache when doing the custom fitting. I started another thread about A/F ratio guages. Any suggestions?
