whining noise in front end when turning

Default whining noise in front end when turning

so whenever i turn a little no matter waht way it is like a whining noise coming from the front. i dont know if its the power steering pump or if its normal for a a4 quattro?

Power steering pump, but you should check your steering rack. The bellows boot that connects to your tierods.... poke a small hole in it if fluid comes out. You'll need a rack as well.

No, it's power steering related. Check the fluid level first.

The power steering fluid is mineral based, which are known to evaporate over time. Audi recommends topping them off every 10-15k. I've seen cars with less than 15k on the clock with the resivior almost empty, topping them off was all they needed.
You may also have aerate the system if its got to much air in there, basically top the fluid off, leave the cap off the resivior, and turn the wheel lock to lock until all the bubbles in the resivior stop.
