Wrong octane outcomes
I have a 2004 A4, 1.8T A/T and I have put 87 octane in the car since I got it new in Oct, '04. I just turned 45,000 miles on it and, other than the performance issue, I've had no bad effects from uing the lower grade gas.
I have read a couple articles that compare the MPG of the 87 octane vs the 91 octane and they indicated that, over a long period of time, you probably end up paying about the same, based on cost per mile/MPG.
So, if I had read those articles 5 yrs ago, I probably would not have used the lower octane rated gas.

))Here u go, our cars are not even close to fast (stock) , and loosing some extra ponies make them even slower.
Anyways, u dont have that many miles yet, so i'd switch to premium.
Actually not only the airports, i remember a regular gas station by my house was selling 100 octane gas. But in order to achieve more results, u need to have a proper tune. Sll these chip tuning companies have a special file for the high octane gas.
Octane booster? Anyone? Anyone?
Comes in a little orange bottle by STP....

I must say that I would only use Shell V-Power, so I have never used that stuff in my Audi, as V-Power only comes in 93. But I used to use that when I had my Scooby.
