I've noticed the engine is very loud on my A4, just wondering if it's normal or should I send it in for service. It's not a steady loud, but an up and down. I'm not talking about the throttle noice, but the engine itself. It's not so loud inside the cabin, but at a level where it is getting annoying. The salesrep said all A4's are noisy as hell, just have to get used to it.

One more ques. If I go reverse, then drive forward I hear a clank towards my rear. Is this a transmission problem?



Anyway, any helpful info will be appreciated.

 

the 2.0t sound loud normally. if you mean the "diesel" engine sound i mean. If it's something else then get it serviced...but the engine is loud normally
