'06 A4 2L--when will the bills stop coming?
A4 has 115k miles and a great car to this point. Within the last couple months, have invested over $3000 in what you'd consider wear items (front end bushings) and failures (engine mount, vacuum pump, air sensor). Recently started having trouble with missed starts, and dealer recommending new fuel pump/injector cleaning for $1,200.
I get that you need to maintain cars and have consistently over the years. Disappointed that seems like the bottom has fallen out and spending more money than car is worth. Interested in any thoughts on whether to stick with it or bail?

Find a local shop that specializes in German makes to do the work. I had the dealership tell me $1100 for the low pressure fuel pump and $900 for upper control arm bushings. I took it to an independent shop and they did the fuel pump for $420 and said I'm nowhere near needing bushings, but said they could replace the entire control arms for what the dealership was going to charge me just for the bushings.
Unless it's some sort of recall/extended warranty thing, I won't be going back to the dealership.

Great advice King. Brought car to knowledgeable shop near house. They couldn't replicate fuel pump performance issue, and cleaner fuel induction/injectors for $140. Really calls into question credibility of Audi dealer.
