Default 2007 A4 Catastrophic Engine Failure

I have a 2007 A4 2.0 with 99640 miles that I absolutely love. But last week the timing belt slipped, and the engine died. The repairs were $6,500.00 plus towing. I had the repairs done, but would REALLY like it if Audi would pay for some or all of the repairs. It seems like from 2008 on Audi had to settle in class action suits for this, but nothing for 2007. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to recoup some of my losses? Thanks!

Going to be a tough fight. A 10 year old car with almost 100k miles is going to be difficult to claim defective parts. You could try calling/writing Audi USA with your complaint. Not aware of any 2008 post settlement that has Audi paying for repairs. There was something for when the cam follower wears through, but that was 2007 and earlier models.

I wouldn't hold my breath, but good luck. I'm still waiting on them to simply fix my recalled air bag.
