My car needs its 45,000 service, and I am trying to decide whether this should be done by the dealer's service center or a third-party (cheaper) option.

Do any of you know / remember how much the 45,000 service should cost?

You can check the service intervals on the Audi site, but it am sure it was just an oil change. The big one is at 55,000 miles. Depending on the age of the car, The cabin air filter might need to be changed as well as the engine airfilter.

 

That's right. 45,000 mile service equated to an oil change and VAG-COM scan to check the system. $110 in West Los Angeles... not too bad. I'm sure the dealer would have been a lot more.
