I bought a CPO 2006 A4 2.0T 11 months ago at about 46k. It got all of the needed service and inspection prior to my purchase under the CPO guidelines. My question is, I am taking it in for service on Thursday - do I need to shell out the $400+ for the $55k service? I have driven approx. 7,000 miles since owning it - a shade over 53k at this point.

i guess it's part of the scheduled maintenance? if so, then yeah bring it in. if you bought the audicare then you don't have to pay for the maintenance.

 

Car is running fantastic. I guess I'm just trying to gauge how much of the 55k service is necessary since it looks like the majority of the service is visual inspections that were all done as part of the CPO 300 point inspection. Car had brand new tires, brakes, rotors, battery, spark plugs, etc. when I bought it.. Seems that most of service could be redundant given that the car is running perfect and a lot of the service points were covered prior to my purchase. Additionally, I take public transportation to work so it could be another 4-6 months before I oficially hit 55K.

It's not that I am trying to avoid spending the money, just not sure if doing it now is or would be more beneficial that holding off another 5-6 months until I'm at 55 or 56k.

Thoughts?

 

I would have bought the AudiCare package. Covers all services up 65K i believe. It was woth the cost as It covers all your services.
