Hi all,
I want to buy my first Audi A4.
I'm not into Diesels, personal thing, so looking at petrols.
I came across a 2005/54 (hockey stick rear lights, so B7 model) 2.0 Petrol CVT. I think it's a 7 speed (perhaps someone can correct me)?
Haven't driven it, but a used car dealer has it for sale.
It's got FSH Audi Main agent and the car has done 79k. It's due a service in December.
Anything for me to look out for? I trust with an Audi main dealer history book with 9 stamps, it should be all ok?
What's the box like? Does it need a CVT change etc...?
Thanks all.
Look forward to your replies.

Don't. Seriously. The 2005.5 to 2006 cvt transmissions have a bad record. They are spotty, but for the most part I wouldn't unless you are alright with a possible refurbishment of the CVT down the road expense. The 07-08 were upgraded to a stronger, less malfunction prone CVT. If you are bent on getting a used Audi I would invest in vagcom first to help you decide, it'll pay for itself. Good luck.

Second this. The quattro models have a real transmission or there's always the manual. Don't settle for the CVT (even in the later models).
