Default BLB Balance Shaft Oil Pump Replacement

Hi,
i'm going to swap this chain driven thing out with the gear driven using from 2.0 Tdi VW Audi Balance shaft repair, oil pumps conversion

1) Firstly anyone have experience of this unit or them?

They say i do not need to change the sump with their unit only swap over the oil pickups and the old sump fits.

I've ordered a timing tool kit with the balance shaft locking tool and the timing locking tools as i've been told you need to make sure it all stays timed up as changing the pump can put the timing out. No sure if it will be used except the balance shaft locking tool.

2) Also is there anything you would recomend I change whaist the engine is in this position?

i.e. seals, clutch bearings ? Anything that would be worth while changing. I'm not an expert on these things so any help is appreciated.

3) I'm presuming i need a full set of Oil, Coolant ? anything else ?

Car is 108,000 and timing was done at 70k something. Car has had no other work done other than long life servicing. Air conditioning keeps failing due to i think debris in the system (i think) blocking the orifice tube. Theres a lot of ice just past it like its all messed up on pressures either side of the tube.

4) Is this something that would benefit from the engine being mostly out ?
5) Could the aircon system be taken apart and cleaned out?

I plan on getting the EGR cleaned out as thats never been done and i understand they can get really crudded up.
