Default bleeding brakes

I have, in the past replaced both front and rear brake pads on my 86 a4 cab, with no issues. This time, when I did the fronts, even though i was very careful to not let air get into the system, the pedal is very spongey and goes practically to the floor. I am sure some air must have got in. Is there anything special that I have to know to bleed these brakes? I normally use the old mity vac on my other cars.

Same as any other car. I cannot remember if you are suppose to start with the wheel the furthest away or the closest though.
