Cam follower / PCV valve ?
cool thread
My cam follower must have gone worse, as the specialty shop had me rush to the dealer to have it covered under warranty
He said the pump (on the 06 2.0T s-line anyway) is much higher pressure than most pumps out there.
I'm glad to hear about the part going to need replacing again, as I would have assumed the replacement to be something stronger...will have to keep an eye on it.
I'm going to search, but if anyone care to post DIY on either/both the PCV and DV that'd be cool.

Sure thing, here is a link to the DIY I used.

edit: err...I was meaning to the PCV and/or DV
, but still, thanks - I wish I had known it was such a fairly easy and cheap job

Almost every Audi / VW model in the last 10 years or so is part of the coil recall. All defective and free. Tell everyone because people move and sell cars and can't get tracked for the letters. Pretty unbelievable huh.
not all b7 07 audi's had bad coils in em...that is what they told me...i never got a letter and believe their parts control is good..knowing what they put on cars and the sub tier makers of coils i have to believe they have excellent accountability??? when i told em to change mine out they said you have the good ones!

yeh I also checked with the dealer - his VIN is in the group, so he'll be taking it in.
I got a letter on mine, but haven't bothered yet. I'd just as soon do it myself, will they just give me the parts?
wel i read this thread and a few others and i do decent DIY stuff so i gave it a go, now i wish i had of just paid the shop. Not only do their own instructions suck (BSH), they picture something not the same, earlier version maybe? i had a very hard time to removed the bottom hose on the factory assembly (coming out), one side of the clip snapped.
Ok but then following their instructions to install the block, hose adaptor, and block off was just nuts. first you cannot reconnect the hose to the inlet on their design, without removing a sensor, or the angle is so great it pinches the o-rings on the factory hose. And of course i did not have a large enough open end to install the hose then screw in the nipple to the block, the only way i can see it will every go in.
So now like hour and a half later i have a non running car....all that to save a few dollars at the shop. well maybe if the product came with real directions from someone that had done it on a 06 A4, might have been easier and correct.
now i am scared as heck to try the Div valve for fear of more bad DIY info...
going back to tinkering on the moto, and just have to bite the bullet on this car and pay for people who don't care if they have skin on their fingers.
Love to hear from anyone that actually did a BSH speedshop replacement PCV.

No pics but not sure what your problem was. I had no issues. BSH had a 2 piece design and a 1 piece. Mine was 2 (older) You just have to make sure it seals flush when you tighten it down. If you are not capable then have a friend or shop finish but it should be an easy job. Look for someone on Vortex on the MKV GTI forum in your area to help you as they have people all over the world.
The DV is very easy. On bolt is a little tricky to reach with some hand contorting but it just comes off and new one goes right in. You will have no problem with that.

end results, one broken connector, a broken plastic tab on the pipe release, so not sure how well that will stay in place and when its back to right my guess is it will be 2x what the job would have cost me at the VW dealer to change the stock PCV.
i can see now how the 2pc kit would be much easier to install, but here are two photos to show you the obstruction blocking the install of the hose, and broken connector on some sensor, water temp? no idea what i broke, but i cannot recommend BSH for this mod to anyone who like me is just ok doing DIY's per instructions.
