at low speed and when turning the wheel the car bangs but it doesn't sound like a CV.. Could it be a PS issue? Car also needs a passenger side axle so I don't know if maybe the driver's side could be gone as well? I just bought the car so I have been going through it fixing minor issues.

also noise is coming from the driver's side no power steering leaks and no loss of power steering felt in the wheel

 

Are the upper control arm bushings torn? And what condition are the outer ball joints in? Any play?
