dead horse
2006 2.0T I know for a fact that this is a well discussed topic, but I can't seem to get to what I'd like to know, which in short is: What's going on when you pull the dipstick and the car runs rough, and/or try to remove the oil cap and there's so much crankcase vacuum you can't pick it up off the valve cover? It would seem to be massive crankcase vacuum, and I've seen videos and read posts about various valves, most specifically the pvc valve, which the owner has already swapped. The car, for the most part, runs fine, throws the "lean bank 1" code regularly. Stutters a bit at cold start. Would be interested to know, when other B7 owners pull their dipsticks, what happens. Thanks, zz03
I made the mistake of not seating the dipstick all the way and I thought my engine was about to go. Very rough idle with little power. Once I pushed the dipstick down it ran fine. Haven't tried to remove the oil cap with the car running though.
I'm not sure, there seems to be conflicting opinions on it. You're not getting a check engine lite presumably? If this is the way it's supposed to be we'll chase other dragons. Just trying to find that answer. Thanks for the reply.
