Default Glove Compartment Closed Shut!

Hi all, my B7 A4 has a glove compartment that won't open. The latch seems to be operational and I can pull on it as usual buy it just won't open. Tried prying but it won't work without damaging. Any thoughts on getting it open?

Not trying to be a smartass, but is it possibly just locked with the key?

Nope that's not it. Not locked and the latch actually pulls all the way out as usual

Hmm... I dunno how much overlap there is, but did you try sliding a thin screwdriver or possibly a credit card or similar in there to pop the latch open, while pulling on the handle? Could just be stuck a need a little help like that.

There is a problem with the glovebox door on the B7. There is a brake that makes the door rise and drop gradually. Sometimes that brake jams. Mine did, and I had to practically slam the door with the latch in the open position to get it to close. Yours might have jammed in the closed positon. There is a TSB about the issue and Audi knows about it. If you are still under warrenty they should fix it.
