Well the insurance check came in, who here would not settle for used parts? when you are the one who got hit?. All I can say is can't wait to get her back. On a good note though I am putting on a new set of BLACK wheels. The only other thing that I have to hope for is the paint matches the rest of the car. Nates auto body tech is going to warrenty his work as long as I own the car.

 

I learned long ago, whether it's your insurance company or the other guys, they are not the least interested in being fair to you.


So never go into that situation thinking about being fair. They set the rules to the game....

 

So as consumer we have no rights or say in what parts our cars are being fixed with??????? I take pride in how my car looks and functions. It's very hard to keep a car clean in the North East.

 

Sure you do. Shop for an ins policy that will always replace with OEM parts. But if you can find one, it won't be the cheapest one out there....

 

And it still won't matter if the other person hits you unless you want to go through your insurance, pay your collision deductible, and have it be on your dime.

That being said, I got rear-ended (very lightly) by a driver with Nationwide and they were extremely easy to work with and it was a smooth process.

 

I have had my car back for two weeks now and all is great. The body shop did such a great job, can't even tell some one hit me. The new wheels are on and I did a front brake job. I also replaced the cam fallower and that was money well invested. I have a long distance journey to be had here in a few weeks any suggestions on car prepping?.

 

Does anyone know of some good mechanics and or shops in the Carolina's?.

 

New skins went on yesturday and wow much quieter, There must have been something wrong with the Perreli's. They sounded like I had a wheel bearing problem. Does anyone know where I can get touch up paint for wheels?. I just through Sea Foam in the tank and down the motor oil. Starting too feel and hear the difference.

 

Ok all you Audi lovers I need assistance please?, Iam leaving VT to head to NC on Friday. I am looking for a check list of thing that I should do before hitting the road?. To the car that is!, here are the things that I have allready done. Timming belt change over kit. V-belt, oil change, transmission service, tires, checked the spare tire, replaced the front breaks. Also baught a 2009 A4 for the wife on our anaversery browney points. Who thinks audi is a better built car than VW?. Just looking ro upinions not to start an argument.

 

Check the rest of your fluid levels (coolant--especially the coolant, brake, power steering). Beyond that, sounds like you covered the primary systems.
