Default hard to steer

Hey guys i was out playin in the snow last night and i lost my power steering assist. i checked the belt and fluid level: all good. it seems to only be at low rpm range when it is hard to turn. if you rev it up some it turns normal. anyone else run into anything like this?

All b7s have variable steering, so it should be lighter at lower speeds and heavier at higher speeds, maybe its an issue with that system.

Servotronic fuse? A lot of guys actually remove this fuse to get a better response from the steering wheel.

If you open the fuse box and look behind the fuses you will see a couple bigger fuses labeled 640 and 641. The 640 fuse runs the steering assist and may have gone bad.

Servotronic relay........... Yes, most likely your problem if the pump and fluid are fine

my hands can't get at it thru there.... so you may have to remove the lower panel
