Look around on this forum, and Audiworld. One of the forums has a very detailed pictured step by step process of how to replace the cam follower. I've seen it and it's quite informative. If I find it I'll post a link to the thread.

I'm trying to do the cam follower, and unfortunately have the dreaded banjo bolt and hard fuel lines. I think I read somewhere I need a 8mm triple square to take it off (and anyone confirm?), but looking at it and playing around with it a bit I find it very hard to maneuver around all the obstacles to get clear access to that banjo bolt.

While I was in there I noticed the retaining clip on the wire harness that plugs into the driver side of the HPFP is gone. The wires are in place, but the little tab that locks it in place is broken off. Is this something I should be worried about?

I sure could use a DIY showing the banjo bolt being removed.

I'm still trying to figure out how he got the angle correct. I tried to reach the bolt from below with that same extension, but the angle just doesn't line up. I'll have to keep trying. I burned about 1.5 hours on it last Saturday before I finally gave up in frustration with my dear wife waiting for me to get to her honey-do list.

I have the banjo bolt with the triple square and just did this last week. With about 20" in extensions and my ratchet down by the inner CV boot, I'm off by about 1/4". Then there's enough slop in all those extensions that I can just push the triple square over to the bolt and it comes right off.

Far be it for me to intrude, but next time Mrs. SFL gets impatient offer to trade places and see if she does with the banjo bolt.
